An Introduction to CMS WebView plc

Since its original formation in 1982, CMS WebView plc (CMS) whose main country of operation is the UK, has developed extensive expertise in the area of real-time market data collection, processing and distribution.

Until 1997, the company was a subsidiary of the London Commodity Exchange and latterly LIFFE. In 1997 a management buy-out took place, which re-positioned CMS as a fully independent enterprise. In August 2000 the company listed on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market with the key objective of developing new markets for its latest-generation real-time data solutions.

CMS’s lead product – Transactional Data Interface (TDI) – enables clients to control the collection, processing and distribution of mission critical data for their business needs. In general terms such applications are often referred to as ticker-plants, with typical users being exchanges, quote vendors and trading organisations.

TDI customers include the London Metal Exchange (LME), the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and the Chicago Board of Trade, all of which are major "blue–chip" players in the international futures marketplace.

Prior to July 2006, CMS also provided real-time data feeds and price reporting terminals. Should your requirement be for such data products, we would be happy to refer you to a recommended supplier. Click here for referral.
